What Is Esperanto?

The game is not about knowing vocabulary. It is about building a convincing nonsense word from limited letters, then reading the task board carefully enough to match other players' words to their hidden prompts.

How Esperanto Works

  1. Create a Beanbag room and choose Esperanto from the game list.
  2. Each player receives one secret task plus a hand of consonant and vowel tiles.
  3. Build one original word using only your available letters, with optional rerolls if you have resources left.
  4. All submitted words are shown with a task board that includes the real tasks and decoys.
  5. Match every opponent's word to the task you think it was created for. You score for correct guesses and when others identify your task.

Why It Works for Parties

Letter-tile constraints

You cannot type anything you want; the word has to come from the letters in your rack.

Task matching

The guessing phase is a deduction board, not just a vote for the funniest word.

Decoy pressure

Extra task cards make obvious matches less safe.
